The question is whether trace metals can be used to trace
biological processes in natural waters.

We focus our studies on the link between metallic complex structures, their toxicity and the
degree of stable isotope fractionation.

Zinc isotopes are very sensitive to biofilm growth, as shown by those experiments in laboratory bioreactors
(PhD Aude Coutaud, GET-ECOLAB)
